Tonight, we Tanqueray

This month Hatch launched the first ‘Tanqueray Experience’, one of our projects for Diageo to encourage bartenders, influencers and media from around the world to come to Scotland and experience the world of Tanqueray.

Tanqueray gin has a whole load of heritage behind the brand which makes every sip, just that little more meaningful, so more the reason to drink it, right?

We were briefed to bring the world of Tanqueray alive with an unforgettable trip for some of the brands biggest customers, and to inspire, educate and make Tanqueray the primary gin to be used across bars, restaurants and clubs around the world.

Our first trip welcomed bartenders and club owners from Iceland. Now these guys already had a fair amount of knowledge of Tanqueray, so the challenge was to inspire them!

Hatch organised a beautiful two-day agenda taking in the sights of Edinburgh, welcoming guests to the Diageo Archives and Tanqueray distillery – two sites that aren’t open to the public so the experience was well sought after for the key customers. Tanqueray’s Ginstorian was on hand to co-host and tell the hidden secrets and stories of Charles Tanqueray and how the award-winning gin and brand has evolved over time.

Our VIPs were wined and dined at Edinburgh’s infamous ‘The Kitchin’, where they had a taste of local Scottish produce, and even had a hello from Tom Kitchin himself! Next stop on the experience was Gleneagles for an overnight stay and the chance to enjoy an afternoon of clay target shooting, and even more exquisite food and Tanqueray cocktails of course.
