It's hard enough to remember our opinions without remembering the reasons for them

Back in the swing of things...

After a year spent in the big smoke, I have made my return to the promised land and re-joined Hatch. Hopefully a little smarter, slightly wiser and without doubt a bit heavier!

It’s been quite easy for me to settle into my new role, thankfully. As I already know all the other Hatchlings, meeting and greeting the team was relatively simple. Invitation to my client, JT’s golf day, piece of cake...or so you would think!

The golf was fine. Shot nine-over and finished a respectable second place.  However, a few drinks later, the evening meal seemed to come around very quickly. Greeted by our MD’s emphatic playlist on his iPod, we all gathered in the golf club for a fantastic meal. Cue the comedy waiters. What me, and practically everyone else in the room didn’t know was the hosts for the day had hired comedy waiters, otherwise known as ‘Spanner in the Works’.

Credit to the two guys involved, they were superb. Spilling wine, dropping food and abusing everyone in the room takes some guts. But to get everyone in the room to be singing Bohemian Rhapsody by the end of the night shows how good they were [Not to mention making me sing Wonderwall on my own, infront of the entire room...in the style of Liam Gallagher!]

I think this could be seen as my initiation to the Hatch team. Very similar to how Chelsea make their new signings sing infront of the entire squad.

Successful? Who knows, but its good to be back!
