It's hard enough to remember our opinions without remembering the reasons for them

It's been a while....

Yep, it's been a good week since we last posted something. Mainly because I (James) was on holiday last week enjoying a snow and sun filled break in Meribel. Much hilarity was had, but thankfully no broken bones!

Anyway, another reason for the lack of updates has been due to the sheer amount of work we have been getting through over the past week. Not only were we a man down, but we also picked up a hat trick of new business, which I am sure we will tell you all about once they are fully bedded in.

Another snippet of good news is that we have a new team member joining us this week in the form of Katie. As well as Katie’s obvious skills and experience in the PR world she also brings with her her love of unusual sandwiches, something I can assure you all, she is very famous for around these parts.

So the Hatch team extend a big warm welcome to Katie and her Lasagne Sandwiches.

The Damned United

Tenuous stardom alert.

Much amusement has been had today after watching the new trailer for The Dammed United in which Jason’s dad gets name checked

How cool?

Watch it here

It was just like the Oscars!

Okay maybe a slight exaggeration. Anyway, last night the Hatch team donned their party frocks and headed over to the wrong side of the hill (Manchester) for the inaugural Fresh PR awards.

Excitement was high, and we were convinced our work for Peel and the Ocean Gateway Challenge was worthy of a gong. Sadly our much practiced mockery of Ms Winslet’s BAFTA speech was not to be heard by our fellow nominees as we were piped to the Best Event/Stunt award by a great campaign from the guys at Brazen.

However, we didn’t walk away empty handed, our campaign got a highly commended and we were presented with a lovely certificate, which now fills the space where my 'Views of Yorkshire Calendar' once hung on the wall behind my head.

A good night was had by all, with some seriously entertaining shapes being thrown on the dance floor, that I’m sure will ensure the Hatch team are not forgotten in a hurry.
Big congrats to our table mates Dig PR and Kavanagh Communications, who both picked up a number of awards, and who also helped Hatch win a free bottle of bubbly for being one of the noisiest tables of the evening.

Same time next year?
